RTLB are specially trained teachers who support and work within school settings to meet the needs of students with moderate learning and / or behaviour difficulties.
RTLB may support individual students / groups of children / classes or teachers.
RTLB accept referrals from teachers who need upskilling or support. Referrals can also be made to support school systems eg. The introduction of Co-operative Learning, Paired Writing, Circletime.
RTLB work collaboratively with schools / families / communities to provide a proactive rather than re-active service.
The National RTLB association promotes a community of professional practitioners. It provides professional development and collegial support for RTLB.
RTLB are supported by a management team and a cluster committee.
The RTLB have an office, library & meeting room at Westburn. The Intake & Review meetings are held three times a term.
