The Westburn community has a tradition of strong support for the wearing of school uniform.
All Westburn School pupils wear a uniform that is practical, functional, safe and affordable, the wearing of which generates a sense of belonging and pride in the school. Please name all items of uniform as they are all identical and are expensive to replace.
Boys’ Summer:
· Grey Cotton Shorts.
· Sky Blue Short Sleeved Polo Shirt (monogrammed or non monogrammed).
· Bottle Green V Neck monogrammed ‘W’ Sweatshirt (guernsey style or band style).
· Grey Ankle Length Socks.
· Bottle Green Wide Brim Sunhat (monogrammed or non monogrammed).
· Senior Hat, for Year 7-8 only, available from the School Uniform Shop.
Boys’ Winter
· Lined Grey Shorts OR Bottle Green Trackpants.
· Sky Blue Long Sleeved Polo Shirt OR Skivvy (non monogrammed).
· Bottle Green Polar Fleece with monogrammed ‘W’ OR Polar Fleece Vest OR Bottle Green V Neck monogrammed ‘W’ Sweatshirt.
· Knee Length Grey Socks with one wide band of light blue between two dark green bands, worn with the winter shorts only.
Girls’ Summer:
· Bottle Green Culottes OR Bottle Green Dress.
· Sky Blue Short Sleeve Polo Shirt (monogrammed or non monogrammed).
· Bottle Green monogrammed ‘W’ Cardigan.
· White Ankle Socks
· Bottle Green Wide Brim Sunhat (monogrammed or non monogrammed).
· Senior Hat available, for Year 7-8 only, from the School Uniform Shop.
Girls’ Winter
· Anderson Tartan Pinafore years 1-6 (Years 7-8 senior girls wear the skirt only)OR Bottle Green Bootleg / Trackpants.
· Sky Blue Long Sleeved Polo Shirt OR Skivvy (non monogrammed).
· Bottle Green Polarfleece, OR V Neck monogrammed ‘W’ Sweatshirt OR Cardigan with ‘W’.
· Navy or white tights, or over knee socks.
Boys and Girls Shoes:
Must be black or brown OR alternatively runners/trainers may be worn if they are black or white. Runners/trainers must NOT be bright colours. No jandals, crocs or slip on shoes for safety reasons.
Hair ties and headbands are to be Anderson tartan or bottle green. Long hair to be tied back.
No jewellery except a wristwatch and plain stud earrings.
No makeup, including nail polish.
Sports Uniform; Year 5 to 8 only (School Uniform Shop are the sole suppliers)
Sports Top Bottle Green Short Sleeve with monogrammed ‘WESTBURN’ on the back
Sports Shorts Black Monogrammed ‘W’, or any non monogrammed short black shorts.
Runners/Trainers Must be worn for sport.
Sports teams:Representative sports teams may be required to wear the above sports uniform. Usually rugby / soccer / hockey / athletics / basketball tops, and netball skirts are supplied for representative teams (a bond is required).
Performance Music:A performance uniform is required. Long sleeved shirts and ties will be supplied by the school (a bond is required).
SUPPLIERS:
1. School Uniform Shop.Located in the school grounds, near the library and on the far side of the netball courts.We stock a full range of second hand uniforms with the majority of items priced $5 or less. We also stock competitively priced new uniforms EXCEPT for junior girls summer dress / winter pinafores and senior winter skirts. We are the sole supplier of the sports uniform. Open TUESDAYS 8.30am-9am and 2.30pm-3.15pm; and THURSDAYS 8.30-9am, during term time only, and limited opening hours in the 2-3 days prior to the school year commencing. The shop will open Mon 28th Jan 2013 and Tues 29th Jan 2013 from 10am to 1pm. The shop is run by parent volunteers and payment is by CASH or CHEQUE only.
